そんな北川さんの映画デビュー作、「間宮兄弟」で大変お世話になった森田芳光（もりた よしみつ）監督が2011年12月20日にC型肝炎による急性肝不全でお亡くなりになられました。
北川さんも葬儀にご出席されたのですが・・・見ている人が本当に驚くほどの大号泣でした。
